The business is based in SE9, so Eltham homes are the ones we know best, from the roads around Eltham High Street and Well Hall to New Eltham, Avery Hill and Mottingham. Because we're local, arranging a survey in Eltham is straightforward. Josh can visit at a time that suits you, look at the rooms and the outside space, and give you a fixed-price written quote for air conditioning or a boiler within 24 hours of the survey. ### Eltham homes we work on Eltham has a real mix of housing: Victorian and Edwardian terraces near the town centre, large numbers of 1930s semi-detached houses, the Well Hall Pleasaunce area, post-war estates and newer flats. Each brings different questions about where an outdoor unit can sit, how pipework can be routed and what boiler suits the hot water demand. Many interwar semis in Eltham still have older heating systems with tanks in the loft, and loft conversions are common. Those converted top floors are often the hottest rooms in the house in summer, which is why air conditioning enquiries from SE9 frequently start with a bedroom in the roof. ### Common requests in Eltham - Loft-conversion bedrooms that overheat in summer - Open-vented systems converted to combi boilers - Multi-split AC for families cooling several bedrooms - Annual boiler servicing from £95 + VAT ### Nearby areas - Welling - Chislehurst - Blackheath - Greenwich Services ## What we install in Eltham ### Air conditioning in Eltham Single-split, multi-split and ducted systems for Eltham homes from £1,500, zero VAT until 31 March 2027. Learn more Local service guide ## A guide to heating and cooling your Eltham home Most enquiries we get from Eltham fall into a handful of categories: loft-conversion bedrooms that overheat in summer; open-vented systems converted to combi boilers; multi-split ac for families cooling several bedrooms; annual boiler servicing from £95 + vat. Whichever applies to you, the starting point is the same. We look at the actual house, not a floor plan or a photo, and recommend what will work in those rooms. ### Air conditioning in Eltham For Eltham (SE9) homes we install three types of domestic system. A single-split pairs one indoor unit with one outdoor unit and suits a single bedroom, office or loft room. A multi-split runs several indoor units from one outdoor unit, so you get separate control in each room without a row of units on the outside wall. A ducted system hides the indoor unit in a loft or ceiling void and delivers air through discreet grilles, which suits renovations and homes where visible units aren't wanted. We install Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Fujitsu and Haier. GHS is F-Gas registered as a company and our engineers are personally F-Gas qualified, so refrigerant work is carried out and commissioned correctly. Installation starts from £1,500 with zero VAT until 31 March 2027, servicing from £150 + VAT, and AC repairs are £180 + VAT for the first hour, then £75 + VAT per additional half-hour. ### Boilers and heating in Eltham We're approved installers for Baxi, Vaillant and Worcester Bosch, with Vaillant our preferred brand and manufacturer warranties of up to 10 years depending on the model. In Eltham we replace old boilers, convert open-vented systems to combi boilers, fit system boilers with unvented cylinders for larger homes and install smart thermostats such as Hive. Boiler installation starts from £1,600 + VAT and servicing from £95 + VAT. Heating repairs are £120 + VAT for the first hour, then £50 + VAT per additional half-hour. We're Gas Safe registered (552913) and hold ACS, G3 unvented hot water and Water Regulations qualifications. ### Air-source heat pumps in Eltham A heat pump only performs well when it's designed around the house. That's why every heat pump enquiry from Eltham starts with a survey for £250 + VAT, including heat-loss calculations and an assessment of radiators, hot water demand and where the outdoor unit and cylinder can go. We're approved installers for Baxi and Vaillant and hold heat pump installation and design certifications. Servicing starts from £220 + VAT and diagnostics are £180 + VAT for the first hour. GHS is not directly MCS certified. We can arrange installations through an MCS umbrella scheme where applicable, so eligible customers can access the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant. ### Covering Eltham and the surrounding area Alongside Eltham, we regularly work in Welling, Chislehurst, Blackheath, Greenwich. Across Royal Borough of Greenwich, these are the issues we see most. ### Hot loft rooms Converted lofts under slate or tile roofs trap heat. A correctly sized wall unit, placed away from the bed, keeps them usable through a heatwave. ### Ageing 1930s heating Original pipe runs and loft tanks in interwar semis are common. Replacing an old open-vented system with a combi frees the loft and simplifies the heating. ### Tight side returns Terraces and semis often have narrow side passages. Outdoor units need planning for airflow, noise and service access rather than going wherever is easiest. ### Mixed-age extensions Rear extensions can be colder or hotter than the original house. Heat-loss and room-by-room planning avoids one room being left behind. UK summers are getting hotter, and demand for air conditioning installers peaks as soon as a heatwave arrives. Booking your Eltham survey in spring means the work is done before the next hot spell. For boilers, the same logic applies to winter: replacing an ageing boiler before the cold weather avoids a breakdown when you need heating most.
